Doing Maintenance is a big part of IT. Just like most products and services, there is a right way and there is a wrong way to do it. We do things the right way. Anything else is just a band-aid!
What do we do maintenance on? Everything that needs it!
Microsoft 365 Maintenance
We go over error logs. We check for anomalies and issues. We look at your security settings. We look to make sure no accounts are compromised or have issues. We look at your accounts and make sure there aren’t any that need to be removed or updated. We make sure your backups are working properly and everyone has them turned on. And more!
Website Maintenance
Website updates include making sure your backups are working on auto-pilot. We also create a manual backup, because you can’t be too careful. Your WordPress app is updated, along with themes or plug-ins that might need updates. We check that there aren’t any broken items or superfluous plug-ins that might need to be removed. We also look into security.
Server Maintenance
This is an oldie but goodie. Just like your computers, your server needs regular maintenance. This isn’t just checking backups and updates, though that is a big part of it. We look into error logs and reports, check security and look at recent logins.
Computer Maintenance
You might not even notice, but when we get on your computers, remotely or in person, we almost always do a quick health check! We look to make sure OneDrive is backing up to the cloud properly, that SharePoint folders are syncing properly, and more. We check for any anomalies while we’re on it and make sure your updates are in check! We also look for security issues and make sure your settings are all in order.
Of course, this isn’t an exhaustive list! There are many more items that we look at when we do maintenance. The bottom line is that it’s all for peace of mind. A well-run business starts with the technology that it utilizes.
