New Things We Like

Before I get started telling you about some new things that we like and think are interesting I want to remind you that we don’t sell stuff. So I’m not pushing anything, I just want to let you know what’s out there. From time to time we find some useful new tools

Traction Guest We recently discovered and fell in love with Traction Guest. So much so that I contacted them, convinced them to start a partner program and received a discount which we’ll of course pass along to you.

Traction Guest falls into the category of Lobby Management but it is so much more. As many of our clients fall under ISO, HIPAA, or other legal requirements to keep track of the coming and going of guests we thought this software was fantastic. It’s time to get rid of that paper notepad. It installs as a fully customized app on an iPad. Your guests check-in, document the reason for their visit, who they are seeing and more according to your needs. You can even snap a picture of them; have the person they are meeting with automatically notified. A license of DocuSign is included so guests can sign documents you have setup for them.

In addition to lobby management it can also be used for event registration, employee handbook documentation, and more. Your imagination is the limit. We can setup a online demo for you.

Skype Certified Hardware Recently Microsoft sent us a box of certified hardware for Skype to test. We farmed them out to each of us and some of them we quite like. We have a few more to test and if we like them we’ll let you know.

  • Jabra Speaker puck new thingsThis device sits on the table as a speaker when you on a conference call. It’s portal about the size of a hockey puck. You can connect is via bluetooth to your phone or USB cable to your laptop or PC. It’s clear, the noise cancelling is amazing. It’s just a fabulous speaker.
  • Sennheiser over the head headphones My long hair means that a simple ear new thingspiece doesn’t work for me. I have to have real headphones. The Sennheiser are light weight and have a large control panel built into the cable that it easy to use. They are clear and the noise cancellation is great on them too. Unlike a couple of other headphones that were tested these have a little space for your ear to breathe so they don’t get hot.
  • Plantronics Voyager Legend If the new thingsover the ear type is better for you, then this one was the winner. Noise cancellation and wind reduction were excellent. You can pair 2 phones at once and you can switch between a phone call and a skype call without hanging up on one of them.
