I know that many of you are Excel junkies and I mean that in a very good way. You amaze me. Here’s some good news for you. Excel 2016 has just introduced a new feature that you’re going to like. It’s a vastly improved data importation tool.
It’s called Get & Transform
Pulling in data from other sources whether they be CSV’ files, data from inside a database, or even today data from a cloud application has never been very easy to do. This set of tools should make it a bit easier for you.
With Get & Transform in Excel 2016, you can search for data sources, make connections, and then shape that data (for example remove a column, change a data type, or merge tables) in ways that meet your needs. Once you’ve shaped your data, you can share your findings or use your query to create reports.
