Amy has passed the Essential Business Server certification exam.
This exam confirms her technical knowledge of Essential Business Server
and certifies her ability to install and support the technology.
Amy Babinchak forms EBS Virtual Usergroup
Amy has formed a usergroup for IT Professionals and Consultants
supporting Essential Business Server. In the first 2 weeks
membership is up to 52 with 8 Countries represented.
Amy Babinchak attended Microsoft PSS training
Amy was one of 15 MVP's invited to attend support training for
Essential Business Server. This training is normally only provided
to internal Microsoft support engineers.
Amy Babinchak named Trend Micro All-Star
Amy has been named a Trend Micro All-Star. In this role she will
assist Trend Micro map their products to the needs of SMB
customers. HCS will participate in pre-beta testing of future
products.
Ted Kinczkowski selected as SME on SBS 2008
After doing exceptionally well on the SBS 2008 certification exam,
Ted was selected by GrandMasters to assist them in weighting exam
questions. GrandMasters flew Ted to Seattle.

Business Server 2008. This training is normally only provided to internal
Microsoft support engineers.
Diana Zhao attends SMBNation
Diana attended SMBNation. At the conference she developed lasting connections
with SBS MVP's and other IT Professionals. She also attended a private dinner
with Trend Micro.

Amy will be speaking at the fall SMBNation conference in the technical
track. Amy will present a thought process to analyze your computer
network to determine your firewall requirements. Diana Zhao will attend this
conference with her.
Scott Walri to participate in Microsoft Online Services Airlift
Microsoft has offered to fly a member of Harbor Computer Services to Redmond
for 3 days of intense training on their new Online Services packages:
hosted Exchange, Sharepoint and Live Meeting. Scott will receive this training
directly from Microsoft support and developer staff. He will be one of few
such trained people in Country.

SME is a subject matter expert. Amy participated in the review of future
certification requirements for technicians wishing to show
competency in
small business server.
Harbor Computer Services becomes cBeyond Partner
cBeyond is one of two companies currently certified by Microsoft to offer telephony
services specifically designed to maximize the return for Response Point
small business phone systems. cBeyond offers a package combining Internet,
office phone lines, fax, DID numbers and Mobile phones, all wrapped into a single
web managed shared minutes plan. A simple cost saving measure for small business.
Harbor Computer Services becomes LinkSys Partner
As a LinkSys partner HCS will be able to provide it's clients with better
pricing and advanced support. Additionally HCS staff will participate in
training on VOIP, switches, wireless routers and other LinkSys equipment. HCS
is happy to be joining the LinkSys partner program, meet the local partner support
staff at LinkSys, and bring the most appropriate solutions to our customers
at a great price point.

development and documentation development and review. SME's are recognized experts.
Amy has been contracted through GrandMasters a company that supplies IT experts to
Microsoft and other companies. She will be a member of the team that develops
the Essential Business Server certification exam for IT professionals.

Harbor Computer Services leveraged their strong vendor relationship with Comcast
to save Employees Only $20,000 in build costs and to bring high-speed Internet
to the Wellington Green Executive Park in Auburn Hills.

Amy Babinchak will be attending the Microsoft World MVP
Summit in Redmond. This event occurs annually for those
IT Professionals awarded as MVP by Microsoft. This event
offers an opportunity to work directly with the
development teams at Microsoft, provide feedback to
them, and to develop relationships with subject matter
experts from around the world. Over 60 countries will be
represented. We often call on our worldwide contacts to provide
expert assistance to our clients.

migration, upgrades and services. Scott will use the

Diana will travel to Chicago to participate in

VOIP phone systems. She will use this knowledge to lead

certification exam for their new server suite for
businesses in the 25-300 user range.

beta project is particularly important since EBS is a
new server suite. Not only does participating in beta
provide us with the opportunity to become experts in the
new version well before it is released to the general
public but we also have significant impact upon how the
product will suit the needs of our clients.
